Gravity Lander Artwork

Büro Destruct’s first game «Gravity Lander» just landed for iPhone and your browser. «Gravity Lander» takes you on a journey of three Cosmonauts cleaning up debris cluttering the Mars bases. The game is free and was developed for the GameCulture (from Game to Art) programme of Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council.

Be challenged to land your rocket safely on the Mars base. Vaporize or explode debris out of your way down. Use boosts and tilt your phone to escape a bad course. Acrobatic steering skills and a healthy portion of luck will help you to succeed the 40 missions 52 missions (update 1.1).

Here’s a video of the gameplay

A big shout out to the 4 Cosmounauts made the Gravity Lander landing possible:

Dubquest flyer

The last flyer for the last Dubquest Session with the folks of the G-Stone Family Richard Dorfmeister feat. MC Ras T-Weed & Gümix (G-Stone Rec.). Visuals by Büro Destruct VJ’s. Saturday 4th of September, Doors 10PM at Dampfzentrale.

Dubquest was a very successful clubnight concept (2004 – 2010), presenting Dj sets and Live acts like Kruder & Dorfmeister, Shanti Roots, DJ DMX Crew, Makossa & Megablast, Krafty Kuts, Rhythm And Sound, Senor Coconut, Adam Freeland, Pressure Drop and many many others. Why is it the last Dubquest? Increasing requirements from the host made it unpossible to continue the Dubquest Sessions without a loss. May the Dub-Root continue growing elsewhere.

MobiGlobe 3.0

Autostadt, the themepark and communications platform of Volkswagen in Wolfsburg, opened a new installation “Mobiglobe”. The project has been conceived and produced by Hosoya Schaefer Architects, Zurich (Concept, script) in collaboration with blm film production, Hamburg (Production, script, direction), Shiftcontrol Studios, Copenhagen (Production interactive stations), Buro Destruct, Berne (Graphic consulting, styleguide) and Autostadt.

The installation shows mobility as the systemic interplay between transportation, city structure, resource flows and lifestyle. Its main message is that sustainable mobility needs to be based not only on improved cars running on renewable energy or new solutions for public transport, but also on urban planning strategies, resource management and changes in personal lifestyle. Only with combined measures in all areas can mobility truly be optimized.

Mobiglobe 3.0

In the film, presented on six over-sized rear projection panels arranged like the windows of a car, four visionaries are presenting their projects or concepts; in the same space, six interactive stations add detail and explain the defining parameters of each project.
