Our clean river “Aare” in Bern makes it into the japanese sustainable community news Greenz.jp.

As summertime is passing by soon, we thought to give our great daily enjoyment of swimming or floating in the river a little tribute. A friend of Christoph Engelhard – our current intern took some photos while BD members & co. are in the Cool-Wet-Green.

Typeradio invited us to design the sleeve of «Music for Adrian Frutiger» Supercity 7″ vinyl single which is part of the «TypeLegends» 4 singles box presented at the upcoming «Now we are talking Festival».

The Box includes 4 unpublished interviews with Gerrit Noordzij, Adrian Frutiger, Ed Benguiat, Wim Crouwel + 4 unpublished vinyls composed by Legowelt, Jacq Palinckx, Supercity & The Walt + an essay by Ellen Lupton. Design by Strange Attractors, Erik van Blokland, Buro Destruct & Experimental Jetset. This limited edition (250) is only available at the Festival.

Bears have been around in Bern since 1513. Until 1857 they were in the city itself, then kept as a tourist attraction in the «Bear Pit». From 2009, the Bears got a bigger, better and more expensive home. The «BearPark». What Bern city tourism is missing is a cute Mascot. Here is it the unofficial Bern-Bear-Character called «Bärni Bär». Kids-Tshirts available here.
